Monsoon season is just around the corner, this season gives us a precious opportunity to take care of our health and body. During this time, it is important to pay attention to our body’s needs and find natural ways to rejuvenate ourselves. Here in this article we will give some healthy information for body care in the monsoon which will help to keep body and mind healthy.

Nutritious food intake:

During the monsoon season, give priority to healthy and nutritious food. Choose fresh fruits like mangoes (if available in the market), pomegranates and papayas which are abundant during this time. Include spinach, and vegetables like bitter gourd, kale, parval in your diet for essential nutrients. These nutrient-rich foods will not only improve your overall health but also boost your immune system.

Drink plenty of water for vitality

In between rainy days, drinking water is very important. Drinking enough water is important for your personal health. Make sure you drink enough water throughout the day to keep your body hydrated (maintain enough water in the body) and function at your best. To add variety to your routine, you can also enjoy hot drinks like herbal teas, which have flavors like ginger, cinnamon or lemongrass.

Find indoor workouts/rooftops or sheds to exercise:

Rain shouldn’t affect your exercise routine. Do an indoor workout i.e. exercise in a place (eg gymnasium, big hall etc) where there is no chance of getting wet. In such an environment, do more light exercises, yoga etc. which require minimum equipment. These exercises will keep you healthy and will also help in de-stressing, making you feel rejuvenated in the monsoon season.

Practise the mindfulness and experience the peace in the amazing rain:

Monsoon season provides the perfect opportunity to practice the mindfulness and deepen your mind in the soothing sound of raindrops. Take a few moments each day to engage in pleasant activities like yoga, meditation, deep breathing exercises  and stretches. These practices will help calm your mind, reduce stress, and increase your overall well-being.

Prioritise the complete rest and recharge your body:

Amid the rainy weather, it is important to prioritise rest and ensure you get your part of enough sleep. Create a cosy environment for restful sleep and aim to get at least 7 – 8 hours of quality sleep every night. Deep rest will rejuvenate your body, boost your immune system and improve your overall mood and creativity.

In the monsoon season, as much as our mind gets rest, we should also focus on taking care of the body. Eat nutritious food, drink enough water, exercise at gyms or at home and get enough sleep so that you can fully enjoy the beauty and magic of monsoons.
