Physiotherapy Treatment
We as a Doctor in physical therapist has felt that there is an essential need to deeply understand this common lifestyle disorder, educate people on how to manage it effectively & get rid of the majority of common issues related to the lower back by taking a scientific approach of Corrective Exercises.
In our survey, we found that ‘Lower Back Pain’ is one of the most common self-reported problems reported by the participants in their self-assessment forms. The report published back in 2018 by The Lancet (a weekly peer-reviewed general medical journal) showed that worldwide 540 million people suffer from different kinds of lower back pain.

How Can a Physio Help You?
Like every person, every injury is different, and your physiotherapist will take you through an extensive assessment process to work out exactly what is going on in your situation. This involves a series of questions and physical tests. Once a thorough assessment has been completed, the therapist will be able to determine what structures in your body are contributing, and therefore what your diagnosis is.
The physio will then work with you to make a plan for your recovery. This will involve some education regarding your body and your injury situation, some advice regarding any modifications you may need to make to your daily activities, and a program of specific exercises to rehabilitate your body.
Benefits of this program:
- learn in-depth what pain is and what type of pain you are suffering from by understanding your symptoms.
- improve & increase movement patterns, activate muscles, improve flexibility & mobility.
- manage common low back strains & sprains
- manage common discomforts caused by having pain like neck sprains, leg & knee pain, inability to perform daily tasks, etc.
- Reduce muscle tension, soreness, stiffness and improve posture,
- manage anxiety & depression that is one of the most common psychological factors of having pain
- reduce the risk of injury & prepare your body to perform high-intensity exercises. And a lot more…..
- this program has multiple benefits & is the perfect choice if you want to treat your issues & feel your body’s abilities and overall functions improve, rather than decline, as you age.
- You can include this program in your existing fitness routine or simply make the guidance given in this program your scientific focus on keeping you pain-free.
Physiotherapy Assesment
Physiotherapists are trained to ask a specific series of questions regarding your injury, in order to work out exactly what is going on. Information such as how the injury started, what activities make it worse and what treatments you have already tried, gives your physio valuable clues to solve the detective story that your injury presents.
By performing some physical movements or tests, and providing feedback to your physio, additional information can be collected to finalise the diagnosis process.
Physiotherapy Treatment
Physiotherapy treatment, first and foremost, involves giving you a clear understanding of what your injury is, and how and why it happened. The next step is to establish how your injury fits with your current lifestyle and activity level. Should you stop or keep pushing through? Should you do more or less? Your Physiotherapist will give you a really clear framework to follow.
Finally, your physiotherapist will work with you to develop a series of exercises to assist you with recovery. These exercises will stretch what may be tight, strengthen what is weak, and improve balance, reflexes and overall function. These exercises will be progressed as you improve, to a point where they will form a maintenance program to help to prevent you to get injured again.
